Ravana Falls is one of Sri Lanka's best-known waterfalls, beside the Ella–Wellawaya road about 6 km from Ella. It's linked to the Ramayana legend of King Ravana. It's an easy roadside stop, best in the morning before the crowds, and most impressive after rain.

Lipton's Seat is a viewpoint high above the Dambatenne tea estate near Haputale. The tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton is said to have admired his estates from here. On a clear morning you can see far across the hills and plains. Go at sunrise or early morning, because clouds often roll in by mid-morning.
