Tailor-made
Sri Lanka is a rewarding family destination when the pace is right. We plan shorter travel days, mix sightseeing with downtime, and choose activities that suit your children's ages, all in your own private vehicle.
Sri Lanka is very welcoming to families, and children love the elephants, trains, beaches and tuk-tuks. The key is pacing. We keep driving days shorter, stay at least two nights in each place and plan downtime at hotels with pools.
Child seats can be arranged on request, so let us know the ages of your children when you enquire.
Elephant safaris in Udawalawe or Minneriya, the Elephant Transit Home, Little Adam's Peak near Ella, a short train ride, a tea factory, turtle-watching on the south coast and calm swimming beaches such as Pasikuda in season.
You travel in our own air-conditioned vehicle with one driver for the whole trip, so there is no sharing with strangers and no fixed schedule. Your driver collects you from the airport or your hotel, takes you between places, waits while you visit and helps with local advice along the way.
Before you travel, we agree the route and the hotels with you, and confirm what is included in writing. During the trip, small changes such as an extra stop, a slower morning or a different restaurant are easy to make.
Final inclusions are confirmed in writing with your quote.
