How the safari runs
We take you to the park entrance for a morning or afternoon jeep safari of around three to four hours. Udawalawe's open grasslands make elephants easy to see, often in family groups. Look also for water buffalo, crocodiles, eagles and peacocks.
Visit the nearby Elephant Transit Home at feeding time to see orphaned elephants being prepared for release.
