Sri Lanka Honeymoon Tour
A romantic route through the hills, wildlife and the south coast.

Sample itinerary
Two islands, one trip: explore Sri Lanka with your own private driver, then fly an hour and a half to the Maldives for the beach. This sample 10-day route shows how the two fit together, and everything is adjustable.
This combined holiday pairs a private Sri Lanka sightseeing route with a Maldives island stay. The two countries require separate flight, resort and transfer planning; confirm exactly what is arranged and included rather than assuming one tour price covers every connection.
Land in Colombo and rest by the coast in Negombo after your flight.
Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple.
The Temple of the Tooth, Kandy Lake and an optional cultural show.
Tea country: a working tea factory, plantation walks and Gregory Lake.
One of the world’s great train rides through the hill country.
Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak and Ravana Falls.
A jeep safari in Yala National Park, then on to the south coast.
Morning in Galle Fort, then your flight to Malé and speedboat or seaplane to your island.
Beach days: snorkelling, diving, or simply the lagoon.
A final morning by the water before your flight home from Malé.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives pair naturally: the flight between Colombo and Malé takes around an hour and a half, and several airlines fly the route daily. Most travellers spend five to seven days touring Sri Lanka, then three to five days switching off in the Maldives.
We plan and run the Sri Lanka part with your own vehicle and driver, book your inter-island flights if you wish, and time the route so you arrive at the airport relaxed. Popular stops on the way south include Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella and Galle Fort.
The Maldives is one resort per island, so your choice of island shapes the stay: house-reef snorkelling, diving, overwater villas or a simple beach bungalow. Tell us your budget and what you enjoy, and we’ll suggest islands that fit and coordinate the transfers.
If you’re travelling for a honeymoon, our Sri Lanka honeymoon tour page has more ideas for the island part of the trip, and we can arrange airport transfers at both ends.
You travel in our own air-conditioned vehicle with one driver for the whole trip, so there is no sharing with strangers and no fixed schedule. Your driver collects you from the airport or your hotel, takes you between places, waits while you visit and helps with local advice along the way.
Before you travel, we agree the route and the hotels with you, and confirm what is included in writing. During the trip, small changes such as an extra stop, a slower morning or a different restaurant are easy to make.

By direct flight from Colombo to Malé, which takes around an hour and a half. Several airlines fly daily. From Malé, your resort arranges a speedboat or seaplane transfer.
Ten days is a comfortable minimum: five to seven days in Sri Lanka and three to five in the Maldives. Two weeks lets you slow down.
Yes, it is one of the most popular honeymoon combinations: culture, wildlife and scenery in Sri Lanka, then a private island finish in the Maldives.
It depends on your dates, hotels and your choice of Maldives island, which varies widely in price. Send us an enquiry and we’ll reply with a written quote for both parts.

A romantic route through the hills, wildlife and the south coast.

The best stretches of coast, from Mirissa to the east.

Two weeks for the ancient north, the hills, wildlife and a long beach finish.
Choose how many full days you want in Sri Lanka before selecting the Maldives stay. A short cultural and hill-country route can leave more time for the islands; a wider Sri Lanka loop needs more nights and should not be rushed to meet the connecting flight.
For the Maldives portion, room type, meal plan and resort transfer method are important buying decisions. Ask what is confirmed, how arrivals connect with transfers and whether flight costs are part of the quote. Entry requirements should be checked for both destinations.
Share your travel dates, departure airport, group size and budget split. Honeymooners should specify room preferences and any special arrangements; do not assume upgrades or celebration extras are included.
